Description

The BBC has listed Everest Base Camp under ‘50 Places to See Before You Die‘. Lying at the base of the world’s tallest mountain Mt. Everest and surrounded by tumbling glaciers and 8000 meter giants, Everest Base Camp is a spectacular destination for trekkers willing to take up the high altitude challenge. Combining high adventure with incredible Himalayan views and cultural experience, Ace the Himalaya has designed this Everest Base Camp Trek for trekkers and intrepid adventurers.

Everest Base Camp Trek, which starts from Lukla, is delightful and is full of unexpected thrills. Set off the trek by walking by the side of the Dudh Koshi River, which is terrifyingly beautiful and which links to the base camp and then walk up the hill to reach Namche Bazaar, the biggest of all Sherpa settlements. The trail is filled with a number of photogenic sites. As you head towards the base camp, you constantly come across monasteries, pleasant Sherpa villages, colorful religious flags, and verdant forests. Alongside the trail, there are flowering plants, mani walls with Buddhist mantras written on them for good luck and snow covered mountains. Other points of attraction are the Khumbu Glacier, which has interesting features to catch your eyes; Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site, and Ama Dablam, the world’s most beautiful mountain. Everest Region is a region where life is simple, where the air is thin and the trails are steep, so your guide is the main factor, who will make your Everest Base Camp Trek a success. Our guides are experienced and highly qualified. They are also familiar with the mountain conditions and and can offer suitable alternatives should the need arise.

NOTE: It is recommended that you should arrive in Kathmandu a day earlier before you start your trek (if you do not have a day tour of KTM scheduled). When you arrive a day earlier, you will have time to rest as well as time to buy trekking equipment if necessary. Similarly, it is best to have some extra days (1 or 2) after you have finished your trek because your flight to Kathmandu from Lukla might be cancelled or delayed due to bad weather. So all together it is recommended to have a few extra days beside the trip schedule so that you don’t miss your International Flight.
